Naïve To Believe

While I am simply amazed by this

We can chalk it up to pure craziness

Ignore the abundance of evidence

Upon speaking our second sentences

Of our twin soul recognized

Shake off this feeling of surprise

Calmly call it a reaction of chemicals

Life is only math, fractions and decimals

Bind blindly to that belief

Really, just to give this heart relief

Realize, feelings are not reality

Let those pass, let those be

No such thing as love’s mystical powers

Time to climb off this cloud of ours

Forget this feeling of floating

Fairy tales are not a real thing

How dare we do something so naïve

Such a simple heart to have believed
