The Big Bang Backstory

What took place prior to these stars forming

Are you ready for another magic allegory

A bit of a big bang backstory

….It started before the starting

With a note played on a heart string

An amazing moment, still expanding

The back story of the big bang is

The universe

Is a poem

Written by me

For you, my beloved

I scattered stars in the skies like gems

Just so I could see them in your eyes, reflecting them

Yours is a beauty that should be forever quoted

So, in the galaxies,

I wrote it

What I wanted to give you, it didn’t exist

And this is why, I created this

Lesser men promise the moon

She is a haiku; I wrote just to watch you swoon

Every sunrise, every flower bloom

I wrote that one, just for you

Every autumn, the colors changing

Another sonnet in the making

Each snowflake, handcrafted, quite uniquely

Each one, a song my mind is speaking

The big bang was just the first verse

In the book of poems for you, titled

“The Universe”

*It was going to say “The universe is a poem written by god for his beloved” but I decided that I wrote the damn universe or that I am God – either way, the insinuation will land me in hell – I’ll see you there sweetheart!
